About us

 Songwriters and Composers Association (SWACAN) is a professional organization based in Ibadan, Oyo State. A Forum for both Songwriters and Composers. It was established in 2013 to cater for the general needs of songwriters and composers in the country.
We are made up of Song writers, Composers, Singers, Producers, Marketters, instrumentalists, Artist Managers etc.
The motto of the organization is “We write and compose for a change”. As part of the organization’s strategies for achieving its cardinal points, Songwriters and Composers Association (SWACAN) will be organizing a number of educative and informative events on regular basis for Songwriters and Composers. Some of which include seminars, Workshops, Symposia and For a on songwriting and composition.

3. To award, reward and recognize those contributing towards the growth and developmement of songwriting and composition in Nigeria.
4. To work together and network with similar professional bodies sharing the same aims and objectives.
5. To publish, market, sell and buy works of members and intending members.
6. To protect, preserve and secure intellectual properties ofmembers and their works.
7. To encourage creativity and originality of written and composed songs.
